In an on-going effort to promote fair use of library materials, University Libraries will be implementing a new fine structure to go into effect after finals.

The new fine structure for reserves and textbooks on reserve will be as follows:

• $1.00 per hour 
• The fine is capped at $25.00 in total overdue fees.
• Items will be considered lost and billed at 24 hours. 
• Notices go out on due date and at 3 days (final notice indicating item is billed).
• Textbooks are billed at actual non-refundable replacement price with non-refundable $25 processing fee. Reserves are billed at standard price for Bizzell ($67) and $15 processing fee.
