This hour-long workshop will show you how to use the ProQuest Legislative Insight Database of Congressional legislative histories. The legislative histories are comprised of fully searchable PDFs of full-text publications generated in the course of congressional lawmaking. These include the full text of the Public Law itself, all versions of related bills, law-specific Congressional Record excerpts, committee hearings, reports, and prints. Legislative histories may be used to discover the legislative intent behind a specific law, as well as offering insight into laws of general interest to political science, history students, as well as to students preparing for careers in public health, education, business, or any other discipline subject to Federal regulation. Presented by Sarah J. Palmer, Information Professional Consultant, ProQuest Government Information Services.
This workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 27th from 2-3 PM in room 149D of Bizzell. To reserve your seat or if you have questions, please contact Jeffrey Wilhite, Government Documents Librarian.
