09/17/2012 - Constitution Day Exhibit in Special Collections

In recognition of Constitutional Week activities sponsored by the Institute for the American Constitutional Heritage and the OU College of Law, select items from the John and Mary Nichols Collections relating to law and government have been placed on exhibit on the fifth floor of Bizzell Memorial Library. These can be viewed in the History of Science Collections and the Nichols Collections during normal business hours, through September 29th. Items on display include the following: John Adams, A Defense of the Constitution (1794 and 1797); John Quincy Adams, The Jubilee of the Constitution (1839); Acts of the General Assembly of the Province of New-Jersey (1776); Laws of Maryland (1787); John Milton, The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates (1649); and La Constitution françoise (1791).
