The University Libraries now offers Kanopy Streaming Video resources for the arts, business, health, media/communication, sciences, humanities and education. Kanopy, available 24/7, automatically identifies the device and bandwidth used for access and adjusts delivery accordingly. Video can be embedded into D2L, captioning and transcripts are available, and you can create your own clips for instructional use.
Kanopy is one of several streaming video resources the University Libraries provides. Other streaming video products include American History in Video, Classical Music in Video, Counseling & Therapy in Video, Dance in Video, Ethnographic Video Online, New World Cinema, Opera in Video, and Theatre in Video. These resources can be searched simultaneously through Alexander Street Press.
If there is content you wish to use that is not in Kanopy, please contact Karen Rupp-Serrano, Director of Collection Management & Scholarly Communication. Kanopy has indicated that one of the ways they add new content is through user recommendations, and they will try to license requested content whenever possible.
