Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is celebrated on January 17, 2011. It is a day of reflection and a time to remember Dr. King’s fight for the freedom, equality, and dignity of all races and peoples, and a time to remember the message of change through nonviolence. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day exhibit at the Bizzell Memorial Library is one way to reflect upon the work of Dr. King. Every third Monday of January, close to Dr. King’s birthday of January 15, we celebrate the man’s life and work.
