A Comanche-English dictionary (ca. 1895), with a Comanche alphabet and diacritical markings, compiled by Detrick while serving as an interpreter for the Red Store Trading Post at Fort Sill, Indian Territory. Also included in the collection are typescripts (n.d.) on the Comanche language, customs and conventions, the Lord's Prayer in Comanche, a translated Comanche reminiscence with language notes and explanations, and a typewritten memoir (ca. 1890) by Detrick about his work at the Red Store Trading Post.

John Pope regarding Indian depredations in western Kansas and the captivity of Mary Jordan by raiding Indians.
