Hallucinating Foucault
Patricia Duncker

Hallucinating Foucault is about the love of a reader, a Cambridge graduate student, for his research topic, and his writer, who he releases from an insane asylum. Whenever I find myself wondering why I am writing another obscure academic article, I think about this novel. Maybe I too have a reader. It is the thought that my insanity will be recognized and loved by at least one other mind in the world that keeps me writing.
