Reflections from the North Country
Sigurd F. Olson
More by This Author
Long before I had the opportunity to experience the canoe country of northern Minnesota and adjacent western Ontario, Canada, for myself, I “traveled” the country through the books of Sigurd F. Olson. In all of his books, Olson describes nature and wilderness travel in a beautiful flowing style.
In Reflections from the North Country, Olson puts into perspective many life-enhancing qualities refined during years of wilderness travel and active participation in wilderness preservation. Through twenty-eight topics that include timelessness, solitude, and simplicity, this book inspires me to refocus my thoughts that are too often blurred by our frantic modern world.
