Strange BusinessRilla Askew
This book made me reflect intensely on my background as a small town Oklahoma girl, so eager in the sixties to break away from small town restraints. Now from the perspective of the new millennium, I reminisce wistfully and miss the intrigue of knowing everyone's business, be it tawdry, tragic or spectacular.
The book is a series of short stories taking place over a twenty-five year period in rural Oklahoma. The stories share a common thread that is hard to describe, but feels familiar, and makes me proud to be from a small town in Oklahoma.
