 | Forty-seven Straight: The Wilkinson Era at Oklahoma Harold Keith |
I was born and raised in Oklahoma as were my parents so “Sooner born, Sooner bred” accurately describes me. Through my father, who was a coach, I learned to appreciate athletic competitions. While in high school, I discovered a talent for writing. And then I discovered Harold Keith. His stories shared the history of the famous and not so famous at OU. I read his books, starting with Forty-seven Straight, and I always felt like I was part of his story. With his work as the example, I have tried to be the same kind of writer, one who makes the story come alive with words.
