Books That Inspire 2003

The Corrections
Jonathan Franzen

Jonathen Franzen's book, The Corrections, underscores universal family quirkiness. It doesn't matter where you come from, what you look like, or how successful you grow up to be: Your family is weird. Unfortunately, we can never hover omnisciently above our family to read the minds that drive lifetime narratives. Fortunately, fiction offers us this uninhibited insight, and often, Pop Fiction is a better lure because the context is immediate.
