From Interstate 35 take Main Street east to Flood Avenue. At Flood Avenue, turn south (right) and continue to Boyd Street. Turn east (left) onto Boyd Street and continue to Jenkins Avenue where you will see a 15 story red brick building on the corner. Go past Jenkins to the first corner on the right (south) and turn south and then west and enter the parking lot. Push the red button to explain your need and the gate will open to allow visitor parking. If the parking lot is full, go to the Union Parking Garage on Asp Avenue.
Entering the Sarkeys Energy Center from the parking lot east of the building, go down the middle of three flights of exterior steps and enter the building. Through the windows on your right you will see the Library. The entrance is midway down the hallway.
Entering the Sarkeys Energy Center from Jenkins Street, go down the middle of the three flights of exterior steps and enter the building. Straight ahead midway down the hall, you will see on your left, the fossiliferous limestone entrance to the Library.Wheelchair Accessibility:Southwest Entrance: Use the ramp on the southwest side of the building. It winds its way to the west entrance. The doors at the bottom of the ramp are operated by a handicap accessibility button. After entering the building, turn left and proceed along the A corridor. The first perpendicular hallway is the R corridor. Turn right and continue down the R corridor. Midway down the hall you will see the fossiliferous limestone entrance to the library.
Southeast Entrance: Use the ramp on the southeast side of the building, just to the left of the large stairway. The doors at the bottom of the ramp are operated by a handicap accessibility button. After you enter the building, you will be in the R corridor. Proceed along the R corridor and you will see the glass windows of the Library on the right. Turn right into the fossiliferous limestone entrance of the Library.
