University Libraries Updates Website Search Function

The UL’s website users will find a simplified, refined search bar on the Libraries’ home page starting Tuesday, January 10, that should improve the overall research experience on libraries.ou.edu.

After gathering feedback from students and employees, the UL web team redesigned the OneSearch function, a “bento search” of the catalog, website, ShareOK, and other UL platforms.

Now, there will be a tabbed search bar on the home page in the middle of the banner image instead of the upper right.

When entering a search term on the refined home page, users will now be directed to a results page with content based on the source tab they chose from the search bar instead of all search returns in five different “boxes” in the bento format.

Users can email librpr@ou.edu with any questions.
