It is an exciting time to be a part of the University of Oklahoma Libraries, and I personally encourage all students, faculty, staff and campus visitors to visit Bizzell Memorial Library, our branch libraries, and our special collections.

Libraries remain the heart of the academic life on campus. You merely have to stroll through our corridors to see this for yourself. Students are busy using our computers and wireless Internet access to complete their studies. Faculty meet with students over coffee in the Bookmark Café. Scholars utilize the unique primary sources found in our special collections. Visitors peruse the Native American artwork hung throughout Bizzell. We truly have something for everyone.

To University of Oklahoma students, I would like to extend a very special invitation. We believe it is important for you to learn how to use the University Libraries early in your academic career and our library faculty and staff are committed to assisting you. Our goal is to provide everyone who uses the OU Libraries with the information resources they need. I hope you take advantage of the many resources and services available to you such as our Textbooks on Reserve program, the thousands of electronic journals and databases available 24/7 through our website, and the Ask Us service that provides customized research assistance.
