The University of Oklahoma Libraries has completed negotiations with Wiley and Elsevier. Based on budget decisions made about journal titles from these publishers, we are currently working to remove journal information in the catalog which is no longer accurate for Wiley and Elsevier.
What does this mean?
For Wiley, we will continue to have online access to all Wiley journal content through 2018. For 2019, we have will have online access to journals for which a subscription has been retained.
For Elsevier, we have online access to all previously subscribed titles, 1995-2018, and we have online access to any backfiles (pre-1995 content) for which we have made a one-time purchase. For 2019, we have access to journals for which a subscription has been retained. If a journal subscription is new to us—that is we never had a subscription before 2019; we only had access to the journal’s content via our agreement—we have access to 5 years of content, including the current year (2015-2019).
Please remember that we can acquire content to which we do not have access via interlibrary loan
(ILL). ILL requests are generally filled within two days. If we find that we are receiving a great many ILL requests for a journal, we will consider reinstating a subscription.
