Casey Ryan, known to the inhabitants of a certain Western town as the most reckless daredevil stage driver who ever carried the mail, was bitten by the speed germ and deserted his stage coach for a Ford; but not even a Ford could stand Casey’s handling; so eventually he found himself bereft of both machine, job and bankroll. Then followed a picturesque existence as garage keeper, repairman and wildcat prospector, while Casey rebuilt his fallen fortunes. Eventually he harked back to his first ambition – to search out the gold mine, the secret of Injun Jim.
