The Heritage of the Sioux;
Little, Brown & Company: 1916.

B.M.Bower

        Action and adventure there are a-plenty in this tale of the “Flying U” boys in New Mexico, in which a fake bank robbery for film purposes precedes a real one for lust of gold; and the Happy Family, sworn in as deputy sheriffs, follow a trail through miles and miles of arid desert in quest of the robbers, only to encounter instead a band of frightened Navajo Indians who might have annihilated them if Luck Lindsay hadn’t understood sign-talk. Finally, when their search succeeded, Annie-Many-Ponies, daughter of a chief, showed her Sioux heritage and Ramon Chavez received his just desserts. It is a strong, emotional story that will appeal to this favorite author’s many readers.
