Associate Dean for Research & Academic Success

The University of Oklahoma Libraries invites applications for an assistant or associate professor to serve as Associate Dean for Research & Academic Success. We seek an innovative, collaborative, experienced, and motivated individual to provide leadership and vision in designing and implementing an integrated strategy and creative, sustainable approaches to building and managing research library collections, from selection and acquisition, through metadata and discovery, to storage and delivery of materials and providing services including instruction, circulation and liaison support. This position leads goal setting, planning, prioritization, design, and monitoring of workflows within five major library units; builds relationships and effectively engages with internal and external library partners; explores and advocates for new and emerging tools and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in service to library users. Research Informatics Specialist

The University Libraries seeks to recruit a technical professional who has a passion for the higher education environment to support data-intensive research and digital scholarship projects. The Research Informatics Specialist is a member of the Digital Scholarship and Data Services department which resides within the Digital Strategies and Innovation division. Reporting to the Director of Digital Scholarship and Data Services, this role performs information engineering in the form of automation, storage, and retrieval of information through the use and development of cyberinfrastructure.
The primary support focus for this role is research endeavors spanning STEM, Social Science, and Digital Humanities, and may be included in grants as a project resource. The Research Informatics Specialist works closely with other researcher support roles. Digital Scholarship Librarian

The University of Oklahoma Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Digital Scholarship Librarian. Working in the Bizzell Memorial Library, within the Digital Strategies and Innovation Division, this position reports to the Director of Digital Scholarship and Data Services. The successful candidate should have an awareness of digital scholarship and digital humanities in academic libraries and a collaborative approach to project delivery. 
The Digital Scholarship Librarian will be part of a team responsible for supporting data-intensive digital research and scholarship services, including research data management and visualization, 3D scanning and printing, AR/VR offerings, and informatics.
This position will support faculty and student digital research projects with guidance from the Director of Digital Scholarship and Data Services, ranging from short and long-term consultations (e.g., helping to identify appropriate methods, tools, and training resources) to more intensive, hands-on assistance with technology solutions for digital scholarship. As a supporting role in the Libraries digital scholarship services, this position delivers library instruction, reference services, instructional guides and research aids within the scope of their domain. This role will participate in research technology assessments, answer patron questions, compile data, and represent the Libraries digital scholarship services to internal and external users. Instruction & Online Learning Librarian

OU Libraries seeks an innovative, collaborative and highly motivated individual to serve as the Instruction & Online Learning Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Library Instruction, this position supports student success initiatives by engaging in library instruction and outreach activities. The Instruction & Online Learning Librarian works with academic instructors, as well as student services personnel, to integrate the library’s services and resources into both course curricula and student life. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of digital learning objects that support information literacy outcomes in the library instruction program. The position may also maintain liaison relationships with academic departments and/or academic support units on campus.

STEM Instruction Librarian

OU Libraries seeks an innovative, collaborative and highly motivated individual to serve as the STEM Instruction Librarian. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of scholarly information, best practices in library and technology pedagogy, and research methods across multiple science disciplines, and will join a diverse team of librarians and specialists serving the STEM fields and collaborating to promote scholarly communication, open educational resources, emerging technologies, research data management, digital scholarship and geospatial information systems supporting the learning and research needs of science departments. The STEM Instruction Librarian will engage faculty and instructors to integrate and scaffold information, digital and data literacy concepts and skills into the departments’ curricula and coordinate with colleagues to create teaching/learning opportunities to meet evolving educational needs. University Archivist (Program Administrator)

The University of Oklahoma Libraries is seeking a University Archivist. The University Archivist is a senior professional and leader serving as lead coordinator of activities related to the identification, assessment, classification, management, and retention of eligible archival records and other legacy materials of the University. Utilizing best records management procedures, institutional policies, and statutory requirements, the Archivist ensures that eligible born-digital and physical archival records are discoverable, accessible, secured, and preserved in accordance with University Libraries and institutional workflows. The Archivist is an institution-wide collaborator and procedural resource who engages and partners with relevant information holders and governance bodies to enable a comprehensive and sustainable records management practice at the University. Social Sciences Librarian

The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks to recruit a Social Sciences Librarian. The librarian serves as a library liaison to multiple academic departments in the social sciences, likely including (but not limited to) African & African American Studies, Anthropology, Communication, and Journalism and Mass Communication. The position develops relationships with these departments to promote library resources and services to their students, faculty and staff including: reference assistance, bibliographic searches, developing library guides, library instruction, collection development and other departmental needs. This position provides direct support for teaching, research, outreach, technology, programs and events in a welcoming and intellectually engaging learning environment. Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Assistant (Administrative Support Specialist)

Reporting to the Interlibrary Loan Manager, the Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Assistant is a staff position in the Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery Unit of the Storage and Delivery department of University Libraries. The assistant performs clerical and technical duties and is responsible for day-to-day operations of interlibrary loan borrowing including processing requests and renewals; assisting library users; overseeing the work of student employees in collaboration with other unit staff; and working collaboratively with other library departments, branch libraries, special collections and borrowing institutions worldwide. The position is located at the Bizzell Memorial Library on the Norman campus. Requisition #241562
