The libraries needed a way to view various metrics in a centralized dashboard. This presented several interesting problems. The data sources were from different platforms built in different languages and with different APIs. The libraries lead developer, Tim Smith, was able to integrate all the data sources together by authoring 6 original modules and leveraging the libraries Drupal infrastructure. This allowed the libraries to view virtual traffic, physical traffic, reference questions answered, and real time computer usage.
