Overview of Secondary Sources

A core collection of secondary sources and materials to aid research in the study of history of science, technology and medicine is available to faculty, students, and visiting researchers and scholars. These materials also provide support to Curators and staff n facilitating use of all Collections materials for study, research and teaching.  A select number of these research support materials are available for browsing in the 5th floor Reading Nook.

• current periodicals in the fields of history of science technology, medicine.
• bibliographies, encyclopedias, topical sources, and historiographical guides are included as part of the reference collection  
• source books and critical editions of important scientific texts over a variety of disciplines, from antiquity to the 20th century.
• publishers’ series in the field, introductory works, textbooks, award-winning books, and notable or classic texts in the field.
