Student Library Assistant I / HCLC - Spring
This position will work in the Collaborative Learning Center located in Bizzell Library. The workers in the position will be interacting with student, staff and faculty as the library brings to life a new vision for library services and spaces at the University of Oklahoma. The student assistant will work with library partners to assist fellow students and patrons with technology and other issues in the space. The student will perform various duties including troubleshooting, and provide AV support for meetings and special events. They will also utilize emerging technologies to work on exciting new projects from audio and video editing to data visualization. Requisition #

IT Analyst II (Library Technology Platforms)
Reporting to John Hennessey, the IT Analyst II has a primary responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of all information system assets of OU Libraries. This responsibility includes working with UL teams to identify and close gaps in our systems and endpoint defenses that may be vulnerable to digital attacks, and includes designing, implementing and performing the procedures and controls necessary to secure our systems and services. Additionally, this position has an important role in supporting the use of technology in general within OU Libraries, including support of devices, software and emerging technologies used by OU Libraries personnel and patrons. Requisition #170593

Staff Assistant II (Serial Copy Cataloging)
Reporting to Ila Coffman, this position is primarily responsible for serial copy cataloging, adding new volumes of print issues and microforms, processing journals returned from the bindery.  In addition, the position is responsible for Oklahoma Union List of Serials maintenance.  This position is also responsible for various serials clean-up projects, such as retrospectively adding volumes that had previously been treated as unbounds, assisting with creating and linking item records.  Also, the position assists with serial analytics and special projects, as needed. 


Director of Special Collections
The Director of Special Collections provides leadership and strategic vision for the University of Oklahoma Libraries’ special collections, comprised of manuscripts, rare books, maps, photographs, art, artifacts, and audio, video, and digital collections.  The Director must be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the changing nature of today’s research libraries and the implications for special collections.  The position serves as a member of the Libraries’ senior leadership team and works closely with the Libraries’ Chief Technology Officer on special collections digital initiatives. Requisition #170761

Geology Librarian & Youngblood Energy Library Branch Manager
 OU Libraries seeks a dynamic, innovative, collaborative and highly motivated individual to manage the Laurence S. Youngblood Energy Library and serve as a liaison to the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. The Youngblood Energy Library Manager & Geology Librarian develops and maintains positive working relationships with faculty, students, staff and scholars as well as other campus constituencies in ways that enhance the strategic investment of OU in libraries as part of the research and learning infrastructure of the institution. This position has the opportunity to partner with library specialists in scholarly communication, open educational resources, emerging technologies, data management, and geospatial information systems to support the learning and research needs of the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. As a subject liaison, the Youngblood Energy Library Manager & Geology Librarian develops the collections related to geology, geophysics, and petroleum engineering; participates in the library instruction program; provides on-site consultations for faculty and students; and coordinates library-related public programming, including events and exhibits. As a branch manager, this position supervises a full-time employee and serves as a member of the libraries’ management council. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong vision for transforming the physical and technological infrastructure of the Youngblood Energy Library to better serve today’s faculty and students.  Requisition #170716
