We're excited to announce the beta release of the new OU Libraries website on August 19! The redesigned site features a modern look, streamlined navigation, and an improved information architecture to help you more easily find the services, resources, and support you need.

Throughout the fall semester, the beta version will run alongside the current site. A banner on the OU Libraries homepage will guide users to explore the new experience. The beta site features live content and up-to-date information, and we invite you to share your thoughts through the built-in feedback form.

Your input is invaluable as we refine the site ahead of its official launch in December 2025, when it will replace the current version. We especially welcome feedback on navigation, terminology, and any bugs you encounter.

Key Features & Improvements:

  • A new information architecture that aims to make the site intuitive to all users, from new-to-OU students to experienced faculty researchers
  • Updated content strategy that emphasizes clear and concise content, a conversational tone, and calls to action
  • A site built with accessibility in mind. The site and content will meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Standard page layouts to maintain consistency across the site
