CURRENT PROJECT: Libraries site update

OU Libraries Web Services team is committed to keeping the Libraries sites secure and up to date with the latest web technology available. OU Libraries has been using the Drupal platform to deliver web content to the masses. As the web changes, platform updates are very important to keep our sites secure and reliable. Migrating from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 is a large undertaking that requires moving a large amount of data into a new and updated system. "Drupal 9 is the latest, greatest release of the world's most widely used enterprise web CMS. It's fast. Flexible. Drupal 9 taps into the concentrated innovation from its open source community." (drupal.com). Upgrading the sites to Drupal 9 will be imperative in staying up to date with future releases. The main library's website is also undergoing a significant redesign. This redesign will re-conceptualize virtual library services to provide increased access to resources and services, while also highlighting the libraries impact and strategic initiatives. The plan includes an increased awareness of the rich materials within special collections and the services that are offered to support campus research.
