Laurie Scrivener




Bio

Laurie Scrivener joined the OU Libraries in 1996 as the Social Sciences Librarian and became the History & Area Studies Librarian in 2004. She is liaison to the History Department, Political Science Department, and the College of International and Area Studies. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree and a Bachelor's degree in History from OU. Laurie is a member of the American Historical Association, the American Library Association, and the Association of College & Research Libraries. Her publications include the reference book, A Biographical Dictionary of Women Healers: Midwives, Nurses, and Physicians (Phoenix, Ariz.: Oryx Press, 2002) and journal articles in the Journal of Government Information, the Journal of Academic Librarianship, and College & Research Libraries.
