About the Website

Technology Platform

This website is built on the Drupal platform. Drupal is an open-source web development platform maintained and developed by a community of over 1,000,000 users and developers. Drupal's values and principles make it an excellent choice to support the innovative technology initiatives of University of Oklahoma Libraries.

To address modern browsing needs, this site also utilizes the Bootstrap front-end framework for its theme. Bootstrap is a mobile-first and responsive framework comprised of HTML, CSS, typography, and Javascript utilities created by developers at Twitter.

Compatibility

As a rule of thumb, websites built using Drupal are compatible with, and fully functional in, all modern browsers that support CSS and JavaScript (with minor variations in appearance). Drupal only guarantees support for the list of supported browsers from the Browser Requirements page.

Bootstrap is built to work best in the latest desktop and mobile browsers, meaning older browsers might display differently styled, though fully functional, renderings of certain components.

Individuals are not identified in this data collection, but IP addresses of computers are recorded in order to maintain statistical counts of unique visitors to the site.
