E-Resources for Newspapers & Magazines

This collection provides access to over 900 newspapers from over 340 Ukrainian cities. While most newspapers in the collection are in Ukrainian and Russian, there are also papers written in German, Armenian, Crimean Tatar, Hebrew, Polish, Hungarian, and more. Together, these newspapers document the regional consequences of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the early period of Ukraine's independence, and events leading up to the Orange Revolution (2004-2005).

Content is predominantly in Arabic, but includes key titles in English and French. Established in East Berlin in 1946 as the official organ of the former German Democratic Republic, Neues Deutschland provides firsthand accounts of the 20th century's most momentous events from the Cold War's epicenter - the establishment of the German Democratic Republic, the Berlin Airlift, the Soviet space program, speeches by Presidents Kennedy and Reagan, the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the reunification of Germany, and much more. The Neues Deutschland Digital Archive contains all obtainable published issues from 1946 onward, with an additional year's worth of content added on an annual basis.

Published since 1925, the New Yorker is one of the oldest American weekly magazines featuring journalism, political and cultural commentary, essays, fiction, poetry, and humor.
