This collection provides insight into the history of individual countries, as well as broad viewpoints on key historic events. Key topics include the decline of colonialism, the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the Suez Crisis, the Cold War, the rise of the petroleum industry, the establishment of the state of Israel, the Iran-Iraq War, and the recent Arab Spring. Content is predominantly in Arabic, but includes key titles in English and French. Includes access to over 80 publications, including Jumhuriyah (الجمهورية, Egypt), Filastin (فلسطين, Palestine), Al Akhbar (الاخبار, Lebanon), Al Riadh (الرياض, Saudi Arabia), and Ad Dustour (الدستور, Jordan).

Established in East Berlin in 1946 as the official organ of the former German Democratic Republic, Neues Deutschland provides firsthand accounts of the 20th century's most momentous events from the Cold War's epicenter - the establishment of the German Democratic Republic, the Berlin Airlift, the Soviet space program, speeches by Presidents Kennedy and Reagan, the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the reunification of Germany, and much more. The Neues Deutschland Digital Archive contains all obtainable published issues from 1946 onward, with an additional year's worth of content added on an annual basis.
