Database of more than 12,000 printed books, pamphlets, and broadsides recording African American history, literature and culture from the early 16th to the early 20th century.

Covering every aspect of American life during the early decades of the United States, this primary source collection provides full text access to over 150,000 early American books, pamphlets and broadsides. This resource includes the Evans Series (1639-1800), the Shaw-Shoemaker Series (1801-1819), American Broadsides and Ephemera (1760-1900), Afro-Americana Imprints (1535-1922), African History and Culture (1540-1921), Black Authors (1556-1922), and Caribbean History and Culture (1535-1920).

Covers the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistoric times to the present, including topics in the social sciences and humanities. Materials indexed include journals articles, book reviews, media reviews, and dissertations.

Presents over 7,600 titles dating from 1691 through 1877, ranging from early works imported by the colonists to the Civil War and Reconstruction. The collection is grouped in five chronological series and covers all aspects of American society during this time period. Full text is available.

This collection provides facsimile images of approximately 15,000 broadsides printed between 1820 and 1900 and 15,000 pieces of ephemera printed between 1760 and 1900. Subjects covered range from contemporary accounts of the Civil War and natural disasters, to official government proclamations, tax bills and town meeting reports. Featuring many rare items, the pieces of ephemera include clipper ship sailing cards, early trade cards, bill heads, theater and music programs, stock certificates, menus, and invitations documenting civic, political and private celebrations.

Series 2 provides an archive of religious and theological literature from 1894 through 1922. Topics include the changing landscape of religion in America, the growing interest in non-Western religions at the turn of the century, church life, missionary activity, social movements, and demographics.

This database covers topics in biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues. Materials indexed includes citations to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays. The ATLA Religion Database includes ALTASerials, an online collection of religion and theology journals, which provides some full text access.

This database indexes western-language articles and book chapters on East, Southeast, and South Asia. All subjects are covered with special focus on the humanities and social sciences.

Covers biographical material on over 6 million individuals from all time periods, geographical locations, and fields of activity. BGMI indexes material from current and major retrospective publications and includes over 20 million entries covering more than 2,000 year of human history.

Provides online access to over 300 volumes of the Cambridge Histories Online series published by the Cambridge University Press since 1960. Covers multiple academic subjects across the humanities and social sciences with a concentration on political and cultural history, literature, philosophy, religious studies, music and the arts. Full text is available for various volumes from 1968-2020.

Early English Books Online (EEBO) contains over 140,000 titles listed in Pollard and Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue (1475-1640), Wing's Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700), the Thomason Tracts (1640-1661), and the Early English Tract Supplement. All titles are full text digital facsimiles from the Early English Books microfilm collection. Highlights of the collection include works by Shakespeare, Malory, Erasmus, Newton, and Galileo.

Early European Books contains significant works by Aristotle, Copernicus, Descartes, Erasmus, Kepler, Luther and Spinoza, alongside ephemeral works such as pamphlets and almanacs. The works encompass all the major fields of human endeavour, including science, medicine, philosophy, theology, literature, history, political science, travel, and exploration.

Covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and more. Materials indexed include abstracts to books, journals, and dissertations.
