Resources include books, journals, newspapers, census data, magazines, and documents, with particular focus on social & economic history, literature, women & gender, and caste & social structure. This collection is built through a collaborative initiative involving US research libraries and partners from South Asia.

Covering several countries from the region, including Myanmar (formerly Burma), Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, and featuring multiple languages such as Dutch, English, French, Javanese, Spanish, and Vietnamese, the Southeast Asian Newspapers collection incorporates a wealth of coverage and perspectives on major regional and global events of the time period.

The Soviet-Era Ukrainian Newspapers collection includes five Ukrainian and Russian language newspapers from three different Ukrainian cities, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Lviv. This collection covers the early 20th century, a tumultuous time for Ukraine, and documents the Ukrainian War for Independence, the Holodomor, and the establishment of the Second Polish Republic and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
