Environmental Engineering Abstracts covers world literature pertaining to technological and engineering aspects of air and water quality, environmental safety, and energy production. More than 700 primary journals are thoroughly indexed and abstracted.

Wiley's Environmental Science and History Digital Archive focuses on critical aspects of environmental science, history, and anthropogenic change and includes unique and rare archival collections from multiple global sources. The archive includes manuscripts, images, maps, and photographs covering topics such as deforestation, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, ecology, botany, biodiversity, extinction, water sources, irrigation, wetlands, and hydrology.

Determines influential individuals, institutions, papers, publications, and countries in science fields as well as emerging research areas.

This open access database provides content covering important issues related to race, ethnicity, diversity, and inclusiveness in today's society. Resources include essays, journal articles, government agency reports, photographs, speeches, and other primary sources. A wide range of topics are covered, including affirmative action, food insecurity, environmental racism and environmental justice, the black lives matter movement, voting rights and voter suppression, police use of force, sports team branding changes, neighborhood gentrification, and much more.

A part of Elsevier's Engineering Village, GeoBASE covers human and physical geography, geology, oceanography, geomechanics, ecology, nature conservation, international development, and related disciplines. Materials indexed include journals, books, conference proceedings, and reports.

Global Plants is the world’s largest database of digitized plant specimens and a locus for international scientific research and collaboration. It includes a growing herbaria community-contributed collection of nearly three million high-resolution type specimens and related materials. Also includes reference works and primary sources, such as collectors’ correspondence and diaries, paintings, drawings, photographs, and links to taxonomic literature.

Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts, and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.

Note: You will need to use the "Library Links" feature to indicate that you are affiliated with OU:

• Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner
• Choose "Settings" at the bottom of the list
• Choose "Library Links" from the list
• In the search bar, type "University of Oklahoma"
• Check the boxes next to both University of Oklahoma Libraries entries (Open Worldcat is selected by default and can remain checked)
• Save your settings

If you use Zotero, please use these instructions to prevent Zotero from applying the proxy:

• Open Zotero
• Enable Zotero Connector (if not already enabled)
• Right-click on the Zotero Connector  GUI icon and select preferences
• Click on the "Proxies" tab
• Click on the OU Proxy - it should read "http://login.ezproxy.lib.ou.edu/login?qurl=%u"
• Another frame will open below the current one. Scroll through the Hostnames list to find "scholar.google.com". Select and click the minus (-) button.
