E-Resources for International & Area Studies
This collection provides access to over 900 newspapers from over 340 Ukrainian cities. While most newspapers in the collection are in Ukrainian and Russian, there are also papers written in German, Armenian, Crimean Tatar, Hebrew, Polish, Hungarian, and more. Together, these newspapers document the regional consequences of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the early period of Ukraine's independence, and events leading up to the Orange Revolution (2004-2005).

Established in East Berlin in 1946 as the official organ of the former German Democratic Republic, Neues Deutschland provides firsthand accounts of the 20th century's most momentous events from the Cold War's epicenter - the establishment of the German Democratic Republic, the Berlin Airlift, the Soviet space program, speeches by Presidents Kennedy and Reagan, the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the reunification of Germany, and much more. The Neues Deutschland Digital Archive contains all obtainable published issues from 1946 onward, with an additional year's worth of content added on an annual basis.

The Soviet-Era Ukrainian Newspapers collection includes five Ukrainian and Russian language newspapers from three different Ukrainian cities, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Lviv. This collection covers the early 20th century, a tumultuous time for Ukraine, and documents the Ukrainian War for Independence, the Holodomor, and the establishment of the Second Polish Republic and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

SUR is one of the most important and influential literary magazines published in Latin America in the twentieth century. SUR featured the writings of the leading figures in literature, philosophy, history, and the arts from Latin America, North America, and Western Europe. Contributors included LeCorbusier, Lacan, Sarte, Borges, Cort√°zar, Silvinia Ocampo, and Bioy Casares. This collection includes images of the complete magazine, including covers, photographs, advertisements, a comprehensive electronic index of 6,300 entries as well as an unpublished set of letters by Victoria Ocampo.
